Start writing down your feelings, associations, thoughts, even those darkest ones. Especially those! Once you write them down, you’ll feel relieved. Write a letter to your mother. To a friend. To someone you love. To someone you do not like. Try to transform your sadness into words. When reading them the next morning, they won’t have a hold over you anymore.
